As part of the Centre for Pain Relief's multidisciplinary approach, Dr Ragoo provides specialist surgical expertise for patients whose conditions may require operative assessment or intervention.
Dr Sailesh Ragoo is an experienced orthopaedic and spinal surgeon with over two decades of experience treating spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.
His clinical interests include spinal surgery, minimally invasive spinal procedures, joint replacement surgery, and foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr Ragoo has also been involved in the development and delivery of Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic (UBE) spinal surgery in KwaZulu-Natal — a minimally invasive approach that allows selected spinal conditions to be treated through small incisions while limiting disruption to surrounding tissues.

At Centre for Pain Relief, Dr Ragoo contributes specialist orthopaedic and spinal surgical expertise to our multidisciplinary approach to persistent and complex pain.
Our aim is not simply to move patients towards surgery, but to identify the most appropriate level of treatment for each individual. Patients may move through conservative treatment, rehabilitation, interventional pain management and, where clinically indicated, specialist surgical assessment.
For patients whose spinal condition requires surgical intervention, Dr Ragoo provides an important link between pain management and advanced spinal surgery, including minimally invasive options for appropriately selected patients.
This integrated approach allows the Centre for Pain Relief team to support patients across the continuum of care — from diagnosis and pain management through intervention, surgery when necessary, and rehabilitation.
